Belleville police are investigating a home invasion in which two people were hurt, one receiving life-threatening injuries.
Officers responded to a residence on Russell Street just after 2 a.m. on Monday.
Police say unknown suspects forced their way into the residence and assaulted two people inside.
A 59-year-old male suffered minor injuries while a 61-year-old male was taken to Belleville General Hospital by paramedics and then transferred to Kingston with life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made.
