The City of Belleville is warning people about a scam now circulating involving text messages.
Apparently some residents have received texts pointing to alleged outstanding parking tickets and demanding payment.
The city says it does not issue text messages regarding parking fines and that people should ignore them
People are warned to always be cautious of any messages requiring to provide personal or payment information.
