Belleville police responded to 92 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on June 10, 2024 to 5 a.m. on June 11, 2024.
Assault with a weapon
On June 10, 2024 at 9:09 p.m., Belleville police and paramedics attended the area of Wallbridge Crescent and Frank Street for a report of a victim who was bleeding and wearing nothing but underwear. Upon police arrival, the 22-year-old male victim from Belleville advised that he had been stabbed with a knife by an unknown suspect. The victim was transported to Kingston General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was released later in the morning from the hospital. Police closed off a section of Frank Street near the tunnel for a short period of time while members of the Belleville Police Forensic Identification Section processed the area. Police are continuing the investigation.

Arrested on Warrant
On June 10, 2024 at 6:50 p.m., a 32-year-old male from Picton attended the Belleville Police Service to turn himself in knowing that he was wanted on an endorsed arrest warrant for two counts of failing to comply with conditions of his undertaking. The male was processed on the warrant and later released on an undertaking with a court date in July. The name of the accused is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim as the original charges stem from a domestic-related occurrence.
