Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward says it has received an over $12,000 donation from Sandbanks Winery.
The money was raised through the winery’s bottle campaign at LCBOs across Ontario as well as an annual fundraising event held at the winery itself.
Over four weeks in April and May, one dollar of every bottle of select Sandbanks wine sold at Ontario LCBOs was donated to Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward.
That campaign raised $8,000.
Off the heels of the bottle campaign, the winery held its annual fundraising event on Sunday.
Supporters brought their dogs to enjoy the afternoon at the winery’s on-site dog park.
The event raised over $4,000 thanks to two dollars from every glass and bottle sold, and an on-site auction.
The total raised from both events to over $12,000.
