Canada’s National Defence says personnel with the Canadian Special Operations Forces Command will be conducting training in the Quinte region beginning on Wednesday.
The training will take place mainly in the areas of Belleville, Campbellford, Picton, Quinte West, Tweed and Stirling.
Residents may see military vehicles and aircraft, uniformed and non-uniformed military personnel with personal firearms, and hear noises associated with explosives and small firearms.
The Department of National Defence notes that only simulated and blank ammunition and explosives will be used as part of the training exercises.
Training is expected to go from June 12 to June 28.
