As has become the norm, the number of calls for service for Hastings-Quinte paramedics continues to rise.
In a report to Hastings Council Paramedic Services, Chief Carl Bowker says that to the end of April there have been just over 10,000 patient contact calls.
That compares to almost 9,300 calls in the first four months of last year.
Total call volume to the end of April is over 1,000 calls higher than in the same period in 2023.
