Another Community Safety Zone could be created in Belleville soon.
On Monday, city council will see a staff report proposing that a long stretch of Bridge Street West, from Sidney Street to Haslett Court, become a Safety Zone.
Haslett Court is between Palmer and Marshall roads.
Community Safety Zones feature lower speed limits and drivers face fines double the usual
amount for speeding infractions.
Meanwhile, the city is currently setting up infrastructure in other Community Safety Zones
to allow an Automated Speed Enforcement system to start operating with four cameras to rotate
between them.
