Four boaters on a sinking boat in Athol Bay managed to get to safety with the help of the Prince Edward Fire and Rescue Department Friday night.
All four were wearing lifejackets and no one was injured.
First responders were initially called to Salmon Point Road and County Road 18 just before 7:30 p.m.
But moments later the boat was located well off the Outlet Beach at Sandbanks Provincial Park.
Firefighters in a rescue boat intercepted the boat and steered it toward Welsh Lane where it beached on a sandbar not far from shore around 8 p.m.
Also responding were OPP, Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services, 424 Search and Rescue Squadron and the Coast Guard.
