Belleville police made a quick arrest following a robbery in downtown Belleville early Thursday afternoon.
It’s alleged a female forcefully stole a quantity of cash from an employee at a downtown business and fled.
The employee was not injured.
Police quickly searched the area and located the suspect a few blocks away, arresting her without incident.
The woman, of no fixed address, was found to be on two separate probation orders, requiring her to be of good behaviour and that she not be located in the downtown core.
She’s charged with robbery and three counts of breaching her probation.
She was held for a bail hearing.
