A new update from Hastings Prince Edward Public Health show drops in a number of categories related to opioids in the Hastings-Prince Edward region.
According to numbers published by the Hastings Prince Edward Public Health Unit, there were 25 opioid-related calls to Hastings Quinte Paramedics, seven overdose incidents attendedto by Belleville police and OPP and seven emergency department visits for opioid poisonings in the month of April.
Those are all down from the month of March.
There were zero deaths related to opioids for the month of April keeping the number of deaths from the year to date at 15.
Eight overdoses were reported anonymously to the HPEPH website.
