Police have made another arrest through a Project Renewal investigation.
On Thursday, officers with Project Renewal, with the assistance of the Belleville Police Emergency Response Unit, conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of Church St. and Victoria Ave. followed by the execution of a search warrant at an east end Belleville residence.
Seized were 228.2 grams of cocaine and $2,438.75 in Canadian currency.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of 25-year-old Malcolm Murphy of Ajax on charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
Murphy was held for a bail hearing.
