Lower Trent Conservation is inviting people to help revitalize the greenspace in downtown Trenton.
The conservation authority is holding a planting day June 8 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
They’ll be transplanting native grasses in wildflower meadows, spreading bioactive compost and planting shrubs along the shoreline.
All ages are welcome.
Shovels, trowels, and gloves will be provided if necessary, but volunteers are welcome to bring their own.
Bring water and dress for the weather. It is a rain or shine event.
Meet at 139 Front Street, across from the LCBO. Parking available at the adjacent City Parking Lot with overflow parking at the LCBO.
