There are still a few tickets left for a big fundraiser this Saturday evening for the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Bid for the Build Art Auction is a one night only auction of more than 80 pieces of art, with money raised going to the Foundation to help purchase a CT Scanner for Prince Edward County hospital.
PECMHF Executive Director Shannon Coull says in 2021-2022 alone, patients from Prince Edward County were referred to other regional hospitals for CT scans over 2,100 times.
The gala evening will feature both affordable and higher-end works, including paintings, prints and sculptures.
Each of the galleries involved have donated at least 10 pieces for the live and silent auctions.
The participating galleries are Oeno Gallery, 2gallery, Maison Depoivre, Mad Dog Gallery, Guildworks, and Hatch Gallery.
Bid for the Build Art Auction in 2019 netted $118,000 for the Foundation and organizers hope to exceed that number this year.
The event is being held at the Crystal Palace with the auction starting at 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 5:30).
Online ticket sales close Thursday at 4 p.m.
Any remaining tickets will be available at the door.
