Belleville police responded to 174 calls for service over a period from 5 a.m. on May 25, 2024 to 5 a.m. on May 27, 2024.
Threatening customers leads to arrest
A 52-year-old man was arrested and held for bail after police were called to a local business for a disturbance, Sunday.
Officers were dispatched to an east end restaurant around 10:30 a.m. after the man threatened several customers before leaving the establishment.
The male, of no fixed-address, was located a short distance away and found to be wanted on a warrant issued by the local probation office for breaching conditions. In addition to the warrant, he was also arrested and charged with an additional breach of his conditions and held for a bail hearing.
Police looking to ID suspect
Anyone with information or video footage of an area along Coleman Street is asked to contact police following a report of a male on a motorized bike breaking into a business early Sunday.
Officers were called to the business after the male suspect – described as wearing a red backpack – was observed inside the property looking around with a flashlight.
The property is located just north of the intersection of Coleman Street and Moira Street West. Shortly after the call came in to the police dispatch centre, the male left the scene on what was described as a motorized bicycle.

Van and side-by-side collide
An investigation is ongoing into a collision between an off-road vehicle and a van that caused minor injuries to four people Friday.
Police were called to the area of Zion Road near Cranston Road around 7 p.m. for a report of a van that collided with a side-by-side all-terrain vehicle. The collision caused significant damage to both vehicles and four people sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
No charges have been laid, however, an investigation into the incident is continuing.
Arrested on warrants
An early Friday morning call involving threats led police to a woman wanted on numerous warrants, including robbery.
Police were called to the area of Cannifton Road near Byron Street for a report of threats. While conducting an investigation into the incident, officers discovered one of the involved parties, a 28-year-old Belleville woman, was wanted on warrants issued by the city police service.
Ashley Anderson, 28, of Belleville, was arrested and held on three outstanding warrants including two counts of theft under $5,000 and robbery. She was held for a bail hearing.
