A 20-year-old man is charged with assault with a weapon and assaulting a peace officer following a disturbance in Belleville’s west end Thursday morning.
Belleville Police say two males were arguing when one of them picked up a piece of flooring and struck the victim.
The victim suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.
The suspect also allegedly assaulted an officer while being arrested.
Kevin Daley of Belleville was released on an undertaking with a court date in June.
