A cyclist was taken to hospital with minor injuries after being punched in the face.
Belleville police say the cyclist was riding on Front Street early Saturday afternoon when a vehicle stopped and a passenger exited the vehicle and punched the cyclist.
A witness obtained the licence plate of the vehicle which led police to the arrest of 35-year-old Tyler Hill of Belleville on a charge of assault.
He was released on an undertaking with a court date in June.
