In less than two hours Belleville police officers charged two impaired drivers with both arrests taking place in the morning Wednesday.
In the first incident, at shortly after 6 a.m., police responded to Thrasher Road to find a vehicle parked in the middle of the road with a man sleeping inside.
Kody Hackbarth-Bent of no fixed address was charged and found to be wanted by the Ottawa Police Service. He was turned over to them for further processing.
And at just after 8 a.m., a vehicle was reported to be weaving in and out of traffic and braking for unknown reasons on Dundas Street West. Eventually, the vehicle was seen in a parking lot where it was reported the driver hit a parked car several times.
Police say the driver then staggered into a business.
Police located the suspect inside her place of employment. After investigation, 51-year-old Rachael Spence of Bloomfield was charged.
