Several City of Belleville firefighters were recognized for their service at Monday’s meeting of council.
Several members of the fire department were in council chambers to see their peers honoured.

Mayor Neil Ellis presented Kev Fisher, Jason Vye and Ed Keuning each with their Federal 20-year medal.

Steve Parks received both his 20-year Federal and 25-year Provincial medals while his spouse received a 25-year pin.

Chief Dan Smith says spouses are also recognized for their support after a firefighter reaches 25 years of service.
Several other firefighters are due to receive their 20-year medals and will receive them at the fire hall.
