Campbellford Memorial Hospital has announced it has successfully completed its HVAC project.
Work on the project was done in collaboration with CMH and TRANE, the company tasked with upgrading the hospital’s HVAC system.
The hospital received over $6 million in one-time capital funding from the Ontario government that resulted in upgrades to CMH’s heating, ventilation, and air conditioning infrastructure.
This includes the replacement of air handling units, enhancements to ductwork, installation of advanced air filtration and ventilation systems, and the implementation of an automated building control system.
“We are thrilled to celebrate the successful completion of our HVAC project which represents a significant investment in the infrastructure of Campbellford Memorial Hospital,” said Jeff Hohenkerk, CEO of CMH, in a press release.
“This project ensures that our hospital maintains optimal indoor air quality which is crucial for the health and well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors.”
CMH also touts that the new HVAC system will help with its ability to reduce the hospital’s yearly natural gas consumption by 10,000 cubic meters and lowering greenhouse gas emissions by more than 19 tons annually.
