Ontario Provincial Police say East Region officers will be on the roads and highways as well as in the air during Canada Road Safety Week.
A plane from OPP’s Aviation Services will be working with officers on the ground to go after dangerous drivers.
Police say officers will focus on “the big four” factors in serious and fatal collisions: aggressive driving, inattentive driving, impaired driving and lack of occupant restraints.
Aggressive driving includes speeding, unsafe lane changes and following too close, among other things.
Specific locations of aerial enforcement will not be provided by police.
They state that it could be the 400 series highways, or it could be secondary roads.
Prince Edward County has already stated they will be taking part in Canada Road Safety Week.
The campaign goes from May 14 to May 20.
