Building activity in Brighton is ahead of last year.
Last month, the municipality issued 21 permits with a construction value of $7.2 million, up from a dozen permits worth $3.5 million in April 2023.
And year-to-date activity is also up. Fifty-one permits worth $12.3 million have been granted through the end of April compared to 43 permits worth $11.8 million during the first four months of 2023.
Nine of the permits issued last month were for dwellings.
