Quinte Field Naturalists are set to host a community event at Clifford “Sonny” Belch Park on April 27.
The event called “Planting for the Future” marks the planting of 18 large trees at the park during the week of April 22.
Activities for the event include a colouring contest for kids, and draws for prizes including an oriole feeder.
There will also be a seedling giveaway for the first 50 people to arrive at the event.
Information booths will be set up by Quinte Field Naturalists, Quinte Waste Solutions, Wild Birds Unlimited and the Lawn Bowling Club.
The event goes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m on Saturday, April 27.
