Major roof upgrades are coming to five schools in the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board.
The biggest project will be a roof restructuring and HVAC replacement at Eastside Secondary School in Belleville. That job will cost $2.4 million and be done by Emmons and Mitchell Construction of Kingston.
A little over $1.5 million will be spent on roofing at Central Hastings School, Parkdale and Sophiasburgh schools, and the W.R. Kirk building.
Those projects will be shared by Nortex Roofing, Amherst, and Dafoe Roofing.
