CJBQ’S own Lorne Brooker will be part of the City of Belleville’s exchange trip to sister city Gunpo, South Korea.
Others leaving Wednesday are Mayor Neil Ellis, councillors Chris Malette and Kathryn Brown, Clerk and Director of Corporate Services Matt MacDonald, Manager of Council Services and Communications Sarah Tummon-Button, Investment Attraction Officer Elisha Maguire, delegation ambassadors Cindy and Simon Kang, and Belleville Chamber of Commerce President Dale Hoard.
Among the activities the delegation will take part in on the week-long trip will be tours of municipal facilities and a Hyundai plant.
Mayor Ellis says the exchange trips have brought new business and partnerships to both Belleville and Gunpo over the years.
