Lennox and Addington OPP attended two separate collisions involving vehicles hitting a hydro pole.
On April 14, 2024, shortly before 8:30 a.m., L&A County OPP responded to a single-vehicle collision on County Road 1 just west of Jim Kimmett Blvd.
Police, rire, and paramedic services all responded.
The vehicle had left the roadway entering the ditch and rolled over, striking a hydro pole. The only occupant of the vehicle was transported to hospital with major injuries.
The collision scene was held for several hours resulting in a partial road closure.
The investigation is continuing. No charges have been laid.

Napanee crash
On April 14, 2024, shortly after 10:30 a.m., L&A County OPP responded to a single-vehicle collision on Emerald Forty Foot Road on Amherst Island.
When police arrived the Fire Department was already on scene.
The vehicle had left the roadway after trying to avoid a deer and struck a hydro pole.
The only occupant of the vehicle had minor injuries.
The collision scene was held until the hydro pole was stabilized and the vehicle was removed.
No charges were laid.
