Traffic along Highway 401 west in the Napanee area was slow-going Friday morning following a multi-vehicle collision.
Lennox and Addington OPP responded just before 8:30 a.m. between Palace Road and County Road 41 and found there were two separate collisions contained to the right driving lane and the off-ramp to County Road 41 North.
Police say the original collision happened when a vehicle lost control in the rain and slid into another vehicle. The second collision happened when a transport truck ran into a school bus when vehicles were slowing down for the original collision.
No students were on the bus at the time of that collision.
Two people received minor injuries.
The transport truck driver was charged with following too close to the school bus. An investigation is ongoing for the original driver who lost control of their vehicle.
Police say the scene was clear just before 10:30 a.m after all vehicles were towed from the scene.
The 401 was full reopened to traffic at 11:30 a.m.
