The upward trend in the number of calls being dealt with by Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services continues.
From the start of January to the end of February the service handled 7,032 calls.
Just over 5,000 of them involved patient contact while close to 2,000 were standby calls.
For the same period last year the service dealt with 6,135 calls with 4,505 of them involving patient contact.
