The work week got off to an exciting start at Quinte West’s Operations and Works Yard Monday morning.
At around 8:15, a snow plow was reported to be on fire inside one of the truck bays at the centre on North Murray Street.
Firefighters responded and quickly doused the smoky fire.
The plow truck’s cab was destroyed.
One person was treated on scene by Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services for smoke inhalation.
An investigation continues.
