The flag at Belleville City Hall will be flying at half-mast following the death of a former city councillor.
Mayor Neil Ellis says many will be deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Paul Russell over the weekend.
Russell was a lawyer and served on city council from 1968 until 1976.
Funeral arrangements are not yet available.
