The numbers are in for Quinte West’s building permits in March.
During March, 43 permits worth $4,553,000 were approved. This is down from March of 2023’s 55 permits that had a value of $9,842,000.
Six of the permits were for new single detached homes, with a combined value of $2,786,000.
So far in 2024, more permits have been issued than by this time in 2023; 106 permits this year compared to 78 the year before. Overall construction value is down, however, with $8,468,500 in permits approved in 2024 so far and a total of $38,906,000 by the end of March in 2023.
