A new private school is coming to Prince Edward County.
During Thursday’s Committee of the Whole meeting, Claire Telford shared plans with council to open the school at Edwin County Farms.
The curriculum at the new school will have a focus on nature skills, risky play and social-emotional learning, with students learning while surrounded by nature on the large farm property.
The school will offer both a standard schooling option, and also a one day a week program intended to be taken alongside attending public or another private school.
Council accepted the deputation, and took no action at this time.
