A child had to be airlifted from Bancroft for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries after being attacked by an animal Tuesday afternoon.
OPP say the attack occurred on Bradshaw Road in Bancroft and only described the animal as a “canine” adding it looked similar to a German Shepherd or a Husky.
OPP advise caution in the area and ask residents to contact police with any sightings.
