A lost weekend at home has left the Belleville Senators on the outside of the AHL playoffs looking in.
The Hartford Wolf Pack scored 1:47 into the first period to set the tone on a 3-1 win over the B-Sens at CAA Arena.
Belleville’s lone goal didn’t come until midway in the third period by Wyatt Bongiovanni (10th).
B-Sens head coach David Bell lamented another slow start.
Belleville outshot Hartford 38-32 but Bell says shots can be somewhat deceiving.
Three losses this weekend leaves Belleville in sixth place in the North Division, two points behind Laval with ten games left including four with the Rocket. Belleville visits the Montreal suburb for games on Friday and Saturday night.
