At Tuesday’s regular meeting, Prince Edward County Council will consider making some changes to what expenses council members could claim during.
Municipal staff will present a document detailing options.
Some of the changes are being made to bring Prince Edward County more in line with other municipalities, such as allowing council members to claim up to $25 monthly towards their phone plan.
One item not seen in other municipalities is the option to claim compensation to pay for care providers looking after council member’s immediate family members while they are attending council meetings.
