Why bother with special glasses, heavy traffic, and crowds?
A group of Belleville TV/film producers hopes to broadcast the April 8 total solar eclipse from Meyers Pier.
Monday Belleville council will be asked to approve providing assistance to a group ready to livestream the eclipse worldwide on YouTube free of charge.
The show will be called Totality on the Bay and organizer Scott Granville says there will be a remote TV broadcast truck on scene complete with a tower and multiple high definition cameras.
The show will feature commentary from local astronomy experts as well.
