A motorist stopped for speeding ended up with more than just a traffic ticket.
Just before 8 p.m. on Thursday, Belleville Police stopped a driver travelling 99 km/hr in a 60 km/hr zone in the area of Old Highway 2 and Mitchell Road.
The driver, a 43-year-old Belleville man, was wanted by police for theft under $5000 and was also a suspended driver.
The driver was arrested on the strength of the warrant and was also charged with drive while suspended and speeding.
The accused was released on an undertaking with a court date in April.
