Two paramedics with Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services had to be taken to Belleville General Hospital with minor injuries after their ambulance was involved in a collision shortly before 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon.
Belleville police responded to Shannon Road near Scuttlehole Road in Thurlow after receiving an alert from an Apple Watch.
There was no patient in the ambulance at the time of the accident.
Shannon Road was closed for four hours for an investigation and an investigation continues.
