The Belleville General Hospital Auxiliary (BGHA) has completed a $100,000 donation to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation (BGHF) and approved a new $100,000 contribution for 2024.
The BGHA has completed its $100,000 pledge to support the redevelopment of the Fracture Clinic at Belleville General Hospital.
This marks a significant milestone in BGHA’s longstanding partnership with BGHF, with total contributions surpassing $2.5M.
With this new commitment, 2024 is set to be BGHA’s largest year of donations to BGHF since 2012.
The Auxiliary’s 2024 donation will go towards cardiac monitors.
“We’re thrilled and very proud to finish our $100,000 pledge and to make an additional $100,000 donation to BGHF,” said Heather Smith, President, BGHA. “These commitments would not be possible without the hard work and generous support of our members, volunteers, and the community at large. Together, we’re making a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our family, friends and neighbours.”
Dr. Tracy Bray, Chair, BGHF expressed deep gratitude for the Auxiliary’s continued leadership, stating, “BGHA has been an integral part of Belleville’s healthcare landscape for 86 years. They work tirelessly to enhance patient experience, fund essential medical equipment, and support various hospital programs. Their recent achievement of fulfilling a $100,000 pledge to the redevelopment of the Fracture Clinic is the latest in a long line of actions to ensure our hospital has the resources needed to develop and deliver exceptional healthcare, close to home.”
The BGHA has a committed team of 200 volunteers who serve patients and visitors across the hospital through their programs and services, including the Aroma Café and Tuck Shop at BGH, and the Opportunity Shop in downtown Belleville.
