Hastings County’s Finance, Property and Personnel Committee has recommended county council approve an overall budget of almost $200 million.
In total dollars the budget increased by 9 percent over last year but the proposed tax levy increase will be 5.68 per cent .
Hastings County council will make a final decision on the spending plan March 28.
