$317,000 raised from matching gift initiative

The Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation has announced that, in partnership with the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, $317,000 was raised through a matching gift initiative.

Between October 23, 2023 and January 31, 2024, the PECMHA matched dollar for dollar every donation made to the foundation.

The foundation said over 230 individual gifts received the 1:1 match.

This included a donation from MP Ryan Williams and his wife Allyson Williams of Williams Hotels contributing an additional $15,000.

PECMHF is raising $27 million to help build a new hospital in Prince Edward County.

The foundation says the new 96,000 square foot hospital is scheduled to open in 2027, with shovels anticipated to go in the ground in the fall of 2024.
