A Hastings County committee has approved a recommendation to bring the 2024 Hastings/Quinte Emergency Services Budget to council for approval.
This year’s budget will see an increase of 8.29% in the levy from the 2023 budget.
There are three areas this year’s budget is focusing on including staffing, mental health, and base renovations/equipment replacement.
It also accounts for a new working agreement with the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte that is set to begin later this year.
