As always in early March the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre was packed with people enjoying the 24th edition of the Quinte Sportsman, Boat & RV Show on the weekend.
Organizer Jeff Cox said yesterday that the numbers were on track to at least match last year’s record attendance.
Meanwhile Cox says general travel trends are good for local business.
“It’s amazing to hear though how many people, they’ve been all over the world just about but they’ve never travelled Canada so now I’m hearing a lot of that, we want to see our own country, which is interesting.”
Cox says his family plans to expand the show next year with more of a focus on activities such as beekeeping, birdwatching, mountain biking, and growing your own apple, pear, or cherry trees.
