Belleville council is expected to approve investing in another Nurse Practitioner (NP) for the city at its meeting later Monday.
A staff report says Catherine Murphy is ready to start as a part-time member at the Belleville Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic on April 2.
If approved by council she will be eligible for a $10,000 incentive through the city’s Physician Recruitment Program.
Normally, in order to receive the money ,an NP would have to commit to two years service in Belleville but because Murphy is part-time the commitment has been increased to 3.3 years.
