One person has been charged after a police investigation into a two-vehicle collision.
On Wednesday evening, at 9 o’clock, Northumberland OPP, Trent Hills Fire Department and EMS responded to a call about a car wreck with two passenger vehicles on County Road 25 in Trent Hills.
Officers began an investigation, and used a screening device. During the investigation, one driver was arrested for impaired operation and taken to the detachment for further testing. The other driver was taken to the hospital by EMS with minor injuries.
Farisai Munzvengi, 32 years old from North York, has been charged with operation while impaired and driving without insurance.
The driver’s vehicle was impounded for seven days, and their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
