The Nicholson Catholic College Crusaders were the fourth-ranked team entering the Ontario High School Mens A Basketball championship in Welland.
They exit as number one.
The Crusaders knocked off top seed E.J. Lajeunesse from Windsor 58-50 to advance to the gold medal game with second-ranked Kenner Collegiate from Peterborugh.
Nicholson trailed by two points after the first quarter but dominated the rest of the way for a 62-47 win and an OFSAA title.
