The Quinte International Air Show will be on the last weekend of June, however, some of the show’s highlights are starting to roll out.
CFB Trenton Wing Commander Colonel Leighton James says one highlight will be the aerobatics team from Italy.
“Frecce Tricolori, aircraft that are similar to the Snowbirds Tudors. What’s unique about them is they have red, white and green smoke. We hope to actually get some airborne photos of potentially, the Snowbirds and the Frecce Tricolori together.”
Major Robbie Hindle is overseeing the show.
Hindle says the planning stages are a huge undertaking.
“It’s not only corporate sponsorship, which helps out with payment for buses and porta-potties and things that you might not thing about, but also getting the communities on board with parking and access to people getting to the base.”
Another highlight will be the Snowbirds and the CF-18 Demo Team.
