As of 2 p.m., Environment Canada was reading temperatures as high as 16.1 degrees.
That clears the record temperature of 11.6 degrees that was set in 2000.
Recorded numbers go back to 1935.
Official numbers from Environment Canada are expected to be released tomorrow.
