It has been 12 months to remember for Belleville native Trevor Hoskin and for Trenton Golden Hawks Captain Adam O’Marra.
Starting with Hoskin. He committed his post-secondary education/hockey future to Niagara College.
That news came after his incredible showing at the Eastern Canada Cup Challenge in Trenton, where he was named Tournament MVP.
He became a first team all-star and top point getter at the World Junior A Challenge. Canada East earned a Silver Medal.
Hoskin has also put up incredible numbers in the 23-24 OJHL season. He has nine game-winning goals (league – 2nd), 40 goals (5th), 53 assists (4th), and is tied for a league lead with 93 points. The season ends on Sunday.
His Cobourg Cougars will start their post-season next week.

Trenton Captain Adam O’Marra is tied with Hoskin for fifth this year in goals (40) and is sitting just three points back for the points lead, with 90 on the year.
O’Marra was acquired by Trenton during the 2022-23 season. In 2023, O’Marra and Trenton won a conference championship, they went to the OJHL Championship Series, and he made a Division 1 Commitment to Robert Morris University.
This past January O’Marra was named the Canadian Junior Hockey League Player of the Month. He had 24 points in eight games.
If the two are to see each other head-to-head this post season, it would not be until the second round.
