The Toronto Jr. Canadiens defeated the Trenton Golden Hawks 5-3 on Friday night.
Corbin Roach and Gianni DiVita scored for the Golden Hawks.
The first period went by nearly scoreless before the Jr. Canadiens slipped in a goal with 30 seconds left on the clock, taking a slim 1-0 lead into the second frame. In the second, the two teams racked up the points, with two Toronto goals, followed by two by Trenton, and then a final Toronto goal to round out the frame. In the third, a single goal by both teams allowed Toronto to hold its lead and win the game.
The Golden Hawks host the Markham Royals today at 7:30.
