The Under 8 and Under 10 teams from Batawa Ski Racing Club competed at Brimacombe Resort in Orono over the weekend with impressive results.
In the U8 girls’ race Elle Noce led the way capturing Gold in a field of 21 racers.
Batawa filled out much of the top 10 with Kate Black fourth, Margaret Bowland fifth, Nora Mahoney sixth, Kynlee Thompson eighth, Clara Fabricius ninth and Sorrel Peltzer placing tenth.
For the U8 boys, Batawa placed two racers on the podium with Ethan Black winning Gold followed by Julian Sherman taking Silver.
Asher Becker was forth and Clayton Perkin was fifth.
The U10 races featured a large number of racers and Batawa was again very well represented.
In the U10 girls race, Meaghan Black was the top Batawa finisher placing fourth. Mykenna Hoornweg was seventh, Blake Morris ninth and Sage Peltzer tenth.
The U10 boys had a very strong showing led by Cameron Hewton winning Silver, followed by four Batawa racers finishing in the top 10.
Callum Boyd was fourth, Rohan Patel sixth, Jude Bowland was ninth and Grant Gadsden finished tenth.
Next weekend the U12 and U14 teams have their SCUP Finals while the U16 and U19 teams will be competing at Mansfield.
